Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Operations & Feedback
    • Operate AOI machines to inspect PCBA and verify detected defects.
    • Review and validate inspection results to differentiate true defects and false calls.
    • Provide immediate feedback to SMT production leaders on defect trends to prevent mass rejection.
    • Support containment and corrective actions for abnormal defect patterns.
  • Data Analysis & Optimization
    • Retrieve and analyze AOI inspection logs and defect data.
    • Optimize backend software parameters to improve detection accuracy and reduce false calls.
    • Generate yield, defect trend, and process performance reports for management review.
    • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance SMT process capability.
  • Hardware Lifecycle & Preventive Maintenance
    • Monitor machine usage counters (lamps, motors, cameras, etc.).
    • Perform timely replacement of consumable and wear-and-tear parts.
    • Execute preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime and extend equipment life.
    • Liaise with vendors/service providers for major repairs and calibration.
  • System Health & IT Support
    • Maintain AOI machine Windows OS environment (disk space, system stability).
    • Perform regular system backups and ensure inspection data integrity.
    • Support daily production data reporting and traceability.
    • Follow IT, data security, and company system policies.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma / Certificate in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, IT, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in SMT / PCBA manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with AOI systems (e.g. Koh Young, Mirtec, CyberOptics, Omron, Viscom, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of SMT processes, PCB defects, and IPC standards is preferred.
  • Able to analyze defect data and perform basic reporting (Excel, system reports).
  • Basic PC and Windows OS knowledge for system maintenance and backups.
  • Willing to work in factory environment and support shift operations if required.
  • Good communication skills to work with production, QA, and engineering teams.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
