Job Responsibilities
As an Analytical Lab Technician, you will be an integral member of the Analytical Laboratory Team, ensuring accurate and timely analysis. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing required laboratory analyses in compliance with established timelines.
- Operating analytical instruments such as HPLC, GCFID/MS, Karl Fischer, Dissolution Apparatus, UV-Vis, and FTIR.
- Preparing buffers, mobile phases, reagents, and media for analysis.
- Conducting testing and evaluation of raw materials, intermediates, and finished product samples against specifications.
- Assisting chemists with investigations into atypical results, including OOS and OOT data.
- Applying departmental policies, procedures, and relevant regulations accurately.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures, global/local methods, and compendia standards (USP, AOCS, ASTM).
- Escalating test results outside specified limits to laboratory management.
- Maintaining calibration of laboratory equipment per established procedures.
- Supporting troubleshooting activities for analytical equipment and associated software.
- Assisting with equipment qualifications, method validation, and verification activities.
- Managing standardization and replenishment of laboratory solutions and reagents.
- Supporting consumables inventory management and initiating procurement when safety stock levels are reached.
- Ensuring proper disposal of samples no longer required.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:
- Diploma or higher in Science, majoring in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel).
- Ability to follow methods and procedures in strict compliance with FDA cGLP guidelines.
- Comfortable working independently on projects and collaborating across functions to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong laboratory expertise and practical experience.
- Preferably 1–2 years of experience with HPLC, GCFID/MS, and other analytical instrumentation.
- Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels.
