Job description

As an Ambulance Medical Aide (AMA), you will be an essential part of the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) ambulance service, providing rapid and professional response in emergency situations. You will be responsible for patient safety and collaboration with other emergency teams to save lives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Immediate Response: Respond quickly to emergency locations in accordance with MRC safety protocols.

Emergency Care: Provide basic medical assistance (CPR, wound dressing, pain management) before arrival at the hospital.

Ambulance Maintenance: Ensure that the vehicle and emergency equipment (AED, First Aid Kit) are always in optimal working condition.

Documentation: Record patient details and ambulance movement information in the Ambulance Movement Record (AMR) system.

Procedural Compliance: Follow MRC guidelines and work closely with the Emergency Service Officer (ESO).

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Minimum SPM or Diploma in Nursing, Emergency Assistance, or a related field.
  • First Aid & CPR Training (can be arranged after recruitment).
SKILLS
  • Possess a valid driving license (Class D) and able to operate an ambulance under pressure.
  • Effective communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Emotional stability and physical fitness to work on shifts (including nights/weekends).
  • Added Advantage: Experience in EMS, hospitals, or emergency volunteer work.
