Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, disassembly, inspection, testing, and maintenance of LM2500 gas turbine engines, modules, and components. This role demands strong technical knowledge, hands‑on experience, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all the operations necessary for the assembly/disassembly, test prep/de‑prep and test support of gas turbine engines (LM2500), modules, components, and accessories in accordance with appropriate technical specifications and/or standard work practices
  • Report and record findings, physically tag all parts upon engine/module disassembly, and input Part Routing Tag (PRT) information into the Shop Floor Management system
  • Perform inspections of gas turbine engines and hardware for serviceability and verify work performed is in accordance with technical specifications, Service Bulletin and workscope compliance, routers, manuals or other quality verification criteria
  • Maintain records and ensure proper documentation of turbine repairs and Service Bulletin compliance using current quality processes per the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Troubleshoot in‑process problems, malfunctions, or component failures within the limitations of relevant technical procedures
  • Use all types of precision measuring instruments and devices, hand and power tools, shop equipment and machinery as assigned
  • Perform detailed inspections on all turbines at incoming, pretest and final shipment to avoid defects and cost of quality
  • Complete necessary routers, forms and log sheets as assigned, neatly, accurately and legibly
  • Work required hours as requested to meet production and customer needs
  • Work with other technicians to ensure customer requirements and timelines are maintained
  • Drive safety requirements and compliance with current policies
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to promote safety and prevent FOD
  • Perform other related duties as requested
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering Field (Mechanical/Aircraft) or equivalent
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office; Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.
  • Knowledge in Basic Gas Turbine Engine
  • Good interpersonal skill and independent

  • The employee is expected to be at their assigned workstation ready to work at their assigned starting time.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
  • Minimum 1 year experience (Hands On) with gas turbines and equipment will be an advantage
  • Ability to understand and follow work scope instructions.
  • Basic knowledge and skills in the use of various hand tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, transducers, multipliers, dial indicators, micrometers, scales and other precision instrumentation.
  • Must be certified to operate overhead cranes and install crane‑rigging systems, as well as, operate industrial forklifts. Qualifying candidates who are not certified will be required to attain certification.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of FOD/DOD prevention and control.
  • Must be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings including GEK’s (manuals).
