A financial services firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the full set of accounts, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or degree in Accounting or related field and have at least 3 years of experience. Proficiency in accounting software like AutoCount or UBS and strong skills in Microsoft Excel are essential. The role also involves handling administrative tasks and supporting various departments.
Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and schedules.
Maintain proper accounting records, documentation and filing.
Manage billing, invoicing, receipts and payments.
Prepare journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
Assist in audit, tax submissions and liaise with auditors, tax agents and bankers.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Handle general administrative tasks including office coordination and document control.
Maintain & update records, databases, and office system.
Prepare administrative reports, letters and internal memos.
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and service providers.
Support management in ad-hoc administrative and operational tasks.
Support other departments with administrative needs.
Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in handling full set accounts.
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g. AutoCount, UBS, etc.).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Detail-oriented, well-organised and able to work independently.
