Accounts Receivable Administrator (Credit & Collection)

The AR Administrator is responsible to run Accounts Receivable processes in line with company policies and financial strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze customers’ financial position, credit reports, reports from credit insurance companies, and payment behavior
    • Perform credit assessment for new and existing customers.
    • Evaluate customer risk category.
  • Provide credit limit proposals for new and existing customers to OPCO.
  • Recommend additional financial security for new or existing customers to OPCO.
  • Release credit limits / address overdue order blocks
    • Monitor credit blocks.
    • Perform assessment on the credit block.
  • Propose provisions for doubtful debts.
  • Maintain credit management master data
    • Review customer credit limit forms and SAP data.
  • Analyze outstanding items of debtors (skipped or partial payments, or customer errors)
    • Contact customers (letter, phone, email) to correct overruns and payment arrears.
    • Resolve disputes.
  • Perform collection calls to customers
    • Remind customers of upcoming payment due dates.
    • Follow up on overdue items.
  • Handle disputes
    • Resolve complaints and disputes while monitoring progress.
    • Identify reasons for non-payment and propose action plans.
    • Escalate unresolved issues.
  • Pro‑active assessment of customers’ payment behavior
    • Analyze structural payment behavior.
    • Discuss abnormal payment patterns with the Team Manager and propose improvement actions.
    • Collaborate with Sales and external customers on improvements.
  • Support the Team Manager for execution and management of credit & collection activities in line with corporate policies, guidelines, and SLAs with Opco.
  • Assist the Team Manager in identifying and implementing changes in credit & collection working methods.
  • Contribute to chain meetings to inform, communicate, and resolve problems with OpCo (Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain, Business Control) and FSSC (Accounts Payable, Banking, Financial Accounting).
  • Serve as 1st level of contact.
  • Support the Internal Control Framework (ICF) walkthrough and evidence.
  • Perform and lead projects & continuous improvement processes within the department.
  • Support preparation of KPI/OPI submissions in collaboration with line manager.
  • Back up complex operational tasks within the Accounts Receivable team as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent, and/or a recognised professional accountancy qualification.
  • Familiarity with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • At least 2 years of experience in the finance function.
  • Knowledge of finance applications and processes, and exposure to SAP & credit management tools.
  • Shared service experience is an added advantage.
