Job description

To support the finance function by performing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

Purpose

To support the finance function by performing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining full and accurate sets of accounting records.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
  • Perform data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records and supporting documents.
  • Assist in preparation of payment vouchers and cheques/online payments.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections.
  • Support preparation of financial reports, schedules, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with audit and tax documentation as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, LHDN, etc).
  • Perform other ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Possess Professional Certificate, Diploma/Graduate Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Familiarity with AutoCount accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Candidate with audit experiences would be an advantage.
