A leading construction company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full sets of accounts. You will be responsible for handling payable and receivable accounts, bank reconciliations, and preparing management accounts. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in accounting or finance and 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction project accounting. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software are essential. The role also involves liaising with vendors and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
At least 5-7 years’ experience in handling full sets of accounts
Familiar with accounting software (AutoCount or SQL preferred)
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a high level of integrity
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience in construction or project-based accounting is an advantage
Handle full sets of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation
Prepare and process supplier payments, claims, and petty cash
Generate customer invoices and follow up on collections
Assist in monthly closing and preparation of management accounts
Maintain project cost tracking and assist with job costing reports
Support audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance (SST, EPF, SOCSO, PCB)
Liaise with vendors, project team, and external accountants/auditors
Ensure timely, accurate data entry and document filing
