Accounts Executive – Responsibilities

The Accounts Executive handles end-to-end accounting for the company, including AP/AR, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and monthly closing. This role supports daily operations, ensures the accuracy of financial records, and works closely with management on reporting and compliance matters.

Job Description

• Able to handle a full set of accounts.
• Ensure timely closing of accounts during month-end.
• Ensure proper filing of accounting documents.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets listing and GL.
• Prepare LC & BA and update the file.
• Perform monthly bank statement reconciliation and resolve discrepancies if any.
• Responsible for preparing debit notes, credit notes, and journals for the Manager to verify.
• Maintain proper accounting records and filing system.
• Providing support to the finance team and collaborating with other departments as needed.
• Assist in liaising with the company secretary, auditor, bankers, suppliers, and authorities on all finance-related matters.
• Prepare cashflow accounts, monitoring and handling collections, and processing payments.
• Any other ad hoc assignment.

Job Requirements

• At least has a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a full set of accounting (AP, AR, invoicing).
• Proficiency in using SQL software and MS Excel.
• Careful, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Can work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Responsible and willing to learn.
