Job Summary:

The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing the full spectrum of daily accounting operations, including handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements such as SST, EPF, SOCSO, and income tax filings. The Accounts Executive will also support month-end closing activities, assist with budget preparation, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:
  • Handle full set of accounts (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger) in manufacturing field.
  • Knowledgeable in SQL full set, inventory management, and fixed assets management.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities including data entry, invoicing, payments, and receipts.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for internal and external use.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and other statutory contributions.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Liaise with external parties including auditors, tax agents, and government bodies (e.g., LHDN, SSM).
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
  • Assist in process improvement and system implementation initiatives.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and strong analytical skills.
  • Exhibit due diligence in executing assigned tasks.
  • Handled ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Possess a positive outlook, disciplined and results oriented.
  • Possess own transportation and is willing to work in Iskandar Puteri.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Good understanding on Malaysian financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Familiar with accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, UBS, QuickBooks).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage for dealing with regional clients or suppliers).
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
