A leading consumer electronics company is seeking an Accountant Manager to oversee all accounting functions including AR, AP, and general ledger. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience managing group accounts in retail or consumer electrical sectors and possesses a strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation. This pivotal role involves cash flow management, inventory valuation, and leading the accounts team to ensure accuracy and compliance. Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions, including AR, AP, GL, inventory accounting, and month‑end / year‑end closing.
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, management accounts, and consolidated group reports.
Monitor and analyze P&L performance by outlet, region, and product category.
Manage cash flow planning and forecasting, ensuring sufficient working capital for operations and expansion.
Control inventory valuation, ageing, slow‑moving stock, and gross margin analysis in a retail environment.
Ensure proper internal controls, SOP implementation, and compliance across outlets and warehouse operations.
Handle taxation matters including SST, corporate tax, and liaise with tax agents, auditors, bankers, and relevant authorities.
Supervise and lead the accounts team, ensuring accuracy, deadlines, and accountability are met.
Work closely with Directors and Operations teams to provide financial insights for business decisions.
Improve processes, reporting structure, and financial visibility to support business growth and expansion.
Able to pick up ongoing responsibilities quickly and complete handover within a short period, ensuring continuity of operations with minimal disruption.
Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in managing group accounts, preferably within retail, wholesale, consumer electrical, FMCG, or multi‑outlet businesses.
Proven experience handling high‑volume transactions, stock‑related accounting, and multi‑channel sales (retail, wholesale, projects, exhibitions, e‑commerce).
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation (SST & income tax), and statutory compliance.
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel (reporting, analysis, and reconciliations).
Hands‑on leader with the ability to manage, guide, and develop a team.
Detail‑oriented, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Added Advantage: Experience using SB Client Accounting Software.
