Job description

This is a well established and respected international freight forwarding and logistics services company with offices in major ports around the country. Currently they are actively recruiting for an Accounting qualified candidate for their business operations in Malaysia. The position will be based at their main business operations office at Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya. The opening is a full time permanent position with the objective to manage accounting functions, ensuring that financial accounting information is accurately prepared within the logistics activities. Salary for the successful candidate will be between RM 2300-2800.

Roles & Responsibilities

This is a permanent junior position where the incumbent will report to the Senior Accounts Executive of the group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions independently. You will focus on managing month end accounting preparation of the foreign stations activities and inter-company invoicing and transactions. You will be involved in validating high volume of invoices and perform data entry and processing them using correct codes. The candidate should ideally have exposed to accounts payable and receivable activities. You will be involved in month end responsibilities including accruals, prepayments and reconciliation invoices, balance sheet reconciliation, statutory reporting.

Key Duties

• Accounts Payable:
• Perform accurate invoice data input entry.
• Invoice receipts, coding, data entry and completing to pay process.
• Reconciliation of accounts both local and overseas agents.
• Overseas inter-company reconciliation.
• Accounts Receivable:
• Processing receipts, issuing statements.
• Debt recovery.
