Job summary

Job description

We are a well‑established construction company based in Kuala Lumpur, committed to delivering quality projects with professionalism, efficiency, and integrity. To support our growing operations, we are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the Accounts Department.
  • Assist in daily accounting tasks, including data entry, record‑keeping, and document management.
  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices, payment vouchers, staff claims, cheques, and account statements.
  • Maintain and update Accounts Payable records accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile bank, debtors’, and creditors’ statements.
  • Support month‑end closing activities and financial reporting.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, sub‑contractors, bankers, and external auditors as required.
  • Handle administrative support duties, including answering calls and preparing letters, reports, and billings.
  • Perform other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by the Accounts Manager.
What we’re looking for
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in accounting (experience in the construction industry is an advantage).
  • FRESH GRADUATES are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & SQL accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail, with good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and complying with internal policies and procedures.
Our working hours are as follows

Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
