Job summary

A reputable accounting firm located in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to manage a full set of accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The role involves preparing financial statements and participating in process improvements. Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 3 years of experience, and strong skills in Excel and Autocount. Professional qualifications like ACCA or CPA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, and General Ledger.

Job description

To handle full set of account including Account Payable, Account Receivable, General Ledger and other accounting tasks.

Managing daily general accounting activities

Performing month-end closing activities and preparing financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and other accounting statements and participates in regional financial statement reviews

Preparing and maintaining records of all general ledger accounts and all monthly and quarterly journal entries necessary for monthly close, monthly account reconciliation and investigates reconciling items

Maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g. internal controls, accounting policies and procedures and local regulations)

Responsible for all statutory filings (annual accounts, direct and indirect tax returns, statistics, etc.), and coordinating with external service providers, including Tax Agent, Auditors, Bankers and Company Secretary

Participating and/or managing projects and company initiatives, process improvements and automation or ad hoc assignments

Review workflows, processes and identify areas needed for improvement / implement the enhancement to be more efficient with accuracy and effectiveness.

Job Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional in Accounting, LCCI, Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking or equivalent.

Required Skills(s): Excel, Autocount

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance and/or other related fields.

Minimum 3 years of experiences in accounting or Finance, preferably in an accounting firm
