Michael Page is currently partnering with a Manufacturing Shared Service Centre to hire an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and leading the accounting team.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established and fast-growing manufacturing organisation based in Bangsar. With operations across Malaysia and regional markets, they are strengthening their finance leadership team and are now seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting function.

Description

Your main job duties will include:

• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Oversee full sets of accounts, month-end/year-end closing, and financial reporting.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, and ensure strong internal controls.
• Manage costing, inventory accounting, and support manufacturing-related analyses.
• Handle audits, taxation matters, and ensure statutory compliance.
• Liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and provide financial insights to management.
• Improve accounting processes, support ERP/digitalisation initiatives, and drive best practices.

Profile

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is a must.
• Mandatory: Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Minimum 5-7 years accounting experience, including team leadership.
• Big 4 audit background (current or former) is highly preferred.
