The Accountant / Bookkeeper is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant accounting services to a portfolio of Singapore-based clients. This role focuses on day-to-day accounting execution, financial reporting, and statutory compliance, ensuring all deliverables meet agreed service levels, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.

The position is suited for a professional with 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a practice environment, who is looking to deepen technical expertise while working in a structured, cloud-based, and process-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of accounting clients as a primary point of contact for day-to-day accounting matters.

Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all accounting deliverables in line with agreed SLAs.

Support client satisfaction and retention through professional communication and reliable execution.

Prepare and/or review:

  • Management accounts and supporting schedules
  • Unaudited and group unaudited financial statements
  • XBRL filings

Ensure all financial statements comply with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and ACRA requirements, with zero material errors.

Key Responsibilities
1. Client Portfolio & Service Delivery
  • Manage a portfolio of accounting clients as a primary point of contact for day-to-day accounting matters.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all accounting deliverables in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Support client satisfaction and retention through professional communication and reliable execution.
2. Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and/or review:
    • Management accounts and supporting schedules
    • Bookkeeping records
    • Unaudited and group unaudited financial statements
    • XBRL filings
  • Ensure all financial statements comply with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and ACRA requirements, with zero material errors.
3. Statutory & Compliance Support
  • Prepare and support statutory-related work including:
    • Corporate tax computations
    • GST reports
    • Payroll reports
    • Other required filings related to assigned clients
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (tax, payroll, corporate secretarial) to ensure seamless service delivery within scope.
4. Client Understanding & Advisory Support
  • Develop a sound understanding of clients’ operations, processes, and business objectives.
  • Provide basic, non-advisory guidance on accounting, tax, payroll, and corporate compliance matters, escalating complex issues where required.
5. Quality, Controls & Professional Standards
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct, confidentiality, and data integrity.
  • Follow internal processes, documentation standards, and review controls to ensure consistent quality across all engagements.
Qualifications & experience
  • Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a professional services or practice environment.
  • Hands‑on experience managing a portfolio of Singapore‑incorporated companies.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Bookkeeping and financial statement preparation
    • ACRA regulatory requirements
    • Basic corporate tax, GST, and payroll workflows
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
