Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a capable and motivated Accountant to support the full spectrum of accounting and reporting functions for our growing organisation. This role offers exposure to manufacturing operations, financial reporting, tax matters, and digitalisation projects in a supportive finance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing:

  • Prepare accurate monthly accounts and assist in timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare management reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain proper journal entries, reconciliations, and GL schedules.

Full Set Accounting:

  • Manage GL, AR, AP, fixed assets, and statutory accounting.
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls.
  • Support the improvement of accounting processes and system workflows.

Tax & Compliance:

  • Assist in the preparation of tax computations, estimates, and SST filing, E-invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with LMW/ LMW/e-invoicing requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities when required.

Budgeting & Analysis:

  • Support budget preparation and perform basic P&L and balance sheet analysis.
  • Assist in financial analysis for business performance monitoring.

Systems & Projects:

  • Participate in system enhancements and digitalisation initiatives (e.g., e-invoicing).
  • Support system migration and implementation tasks where required.

Others:

  • Work closely with the immediate superior and support other ad-hoc finance activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a professional qualification.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit.
  • Strong full-set accounting knowledge.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SQL/Dynamics is a basic.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to the manufacturing site.
