We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented In-House Accountant to manage the company’s internal accounting operations. This role focuses on day-to-day accounting, financial records accuracy, compliance coordination, and internal financial control, while working closely with management and external accountants, auditors, and tax agents.
The ideal candidate is hands‑on, structured, and comfortable operating in a growing, multi‑entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Accounting & Financial Records
- Maintain full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
- Record daily transactions accurately and timely
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial summaries
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records
- Payroll & Statutory Contributions
- Handle monthly payroll calculations
- Ensure accurate EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB submissions
- Liaise with HR/Admin on salary structure, allowances, and deductions
- Maintain payroll records and employee cost summaries
- Compliance & External Coordination
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries
- Prepare schedules and documents required for audit and tax submission
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting and statutory requirements
- Support annual audit, tax filing, and regulatory reporting
- Expense Control & Internal Processes
- Review staff claims, reimbursements, and expense records
- Monitor company expenses and flag irregularities or risks
- Assist in improving internal financial processes and controls
- Support management with cost tracking and budgeting data
- Management Support
- Provide financial data and explanations to management when required
- Assist in basic budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Support internal reviews and ad‑hoc financial tasks
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications (ACCA, LCCI, CPA, etc.) are an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience in internal accounting or SME environment preferred
- Familiar with Malaysian statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-organized, responsible, and discreet with confidential information
- Able to work independently and follow structured processes
- Good communication skills in English (Mandarin is an advantage)
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software
