A leading workforce solutions provider in Malaysia seeks a Finance Business Partner to manage end-to-end finance operations. The role involves overseeing treasury operations, budgeting, and compliance with accounting standards. Candidates should have a degree in Accounting or Finance, strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills. This is a full-time contract position with a length of 6 months, offering opportunities for growth within a dynamic team.
We need someone who can truly handle end-to-end finance operations, if you have strong technical accounting skills, can lead a team, and can keep the books spotless under pressure, this role is yours to own.
Support the Head of Department in leading and supervising the finance & accounts team.
Strengthen and continuously improve internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
Prepare documents and information for banking facilities applications/reviews.
Manage loan terms, repayment schedules, loan covenants, and banking relationships.
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations (project & loan accounts).
Oversee treasury operations: cashflow management, liquidity planning, and compliance with bank requirements.
Prepare detailed project-based and consolidated cash flow forecasts.
Monitor inflows/outflows, update forecasts based on actuals, and flag potential cash issues.
Participate in budgeting, track actual costs vs budget, and report variances.
Review management accounts and prepare financial reports for decision-making.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Analyses financial data, conduct ratio analysis, and benchmark against competitors.
Present quarterly and yearly financial results to management.
Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, tax laws, corporate policies, and financial agreements.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, solicitors, and other regulatory bodies.
Prepare audit schedules, handle audit queries, and review draft audited reports.
Ensure timely submission of tax estimates and tax returns.
Prepare schedules for tax filings and review draft tax computations.
Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation as required by tax authorities.
Handle any other finance or accounting-related tasks as assigned.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certifications are a bonus).
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
Experience with financing, treasury, budgeting, and management reporting.
Able to lead a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical skills, high integrity, and excellent attention to detail.
Good communication skills and able to liaise effectively with external parties.
Approve leave applications and claims submitted by subordinates.
