Job Responsibilities
As an Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing accurate and timely management reports.
- Submitting tax returns, monthly Goods and Services Tax, and other statutory compliances on schedule.
- Supervising accounting staff in general accounting functions.
- Checking and verifying invoices to ensure accuracy in data entries.
- Assisting in developing and reviewing internal operating policies, inventory, and cost controls.
- Preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Performing operational and financial analysis reports.
- Reviewing and advising management on key performance indicators.
- Consolidating group accounts and preparing statutory accounts.
- Conducting expenses, overhead, sales, and cost analysis.
- Preparing subsidiary costing, monthly debtor aging reports, and debtor statements.
- Submitting accurate weekly reports to the supervisory team.
- Ensuring effectiveness of filing systems and daily operations.
- Performing other assignments as required by management.
Job Requirements
Must Have:
- Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience for Diploma holders OR 5 years for Degree holders in a finance-related role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with figures.
- Clear and persuasive communication skills with team members, superiors, and suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and multitask effectively.
- Independent, logical, and systematic work approach with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in data collection, input, organization, review, and analysis.
- Ability to present information professionally and clearly.
