Job Responsibilities

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Your responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accurate and timely management reports.
  • Submitting tax returns, monthly Goods and Services Tax, and other statutory compliances on schedule.
  • Supervising accounting staff in general accounting functions.
  • Checking and verifying invoices to ensure accuracy in data entries.
  • Assisting in developing and reviewing internal operating policies, inventory, and cost controls.
  • Preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Performing operational and financial analysis reports.
  • Reviewing and advising management on key performance indicators.
  • Consolidating group accounts and preparing statutory accounts.
  • Conducting expenses, overhead, sales, and cost analysis.
  • Preparing subsidiary costing, monthly debtor aging reports, and debtor statements.
  • Submitting accurate weekly reports to the supervisory team.
  • Ensuring effectiveness of filing systems and daily operations.
  • Performing other assignments as required by management.
Job Requirements

Must Have:

  • Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience for Diploma holders OR 5 years for Degree holders in a finance-related role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with figures.
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills with team members, superiors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and multitask effectively.
  • Independent, logical, and systematic work approach with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in data collection, input, organization, review, and analysis.
  • Ability to present information professionally and clearly.
