The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions. This role combines both hunter and farmer responsibilities identifying new opportunities while managing and expanding existing accounts. Positions are available at our Gelugor, Penang office and our HQ in Petaling Jaya, with responsibilities assigned based on experience and suitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, owning the full client relationship lifecycle.
- Demonstrate a balanced hunter–farmer mindset by driving new business acquisition while strengthening and expanding existing client relationships.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities within both current and prospective accounts to support revenue growth.
- Lead contract, pricing, and commercial negotiations to maximize profitability and secure sustainable business.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Presales, Business Development, Service Business Development, and Service Delivery) to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery of solutions.
- Monitor, analyze, and forecast account performance, including monthly sales results, pipeline visibility, and annual targets.
- Prepare and present detailed account performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Address client concerns and manage escalations promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Must Have
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in account management or sales, preferably within the system integration, IT solutions, or technology services industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Sales, or a related field.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities, including effective engagement with senior management and C-level executives.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Mandarin proficiency is required, especially for managing China/Hong Kong–based clients.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
