Job summary

A leading construction firm in Penang is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage comprehensive accounting functions. Responsibilities include handling financial statements, cash flow management, and liaising with auditors and tax agents. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry. Proficiency in SQL and Million accounting software is required, as well as fluency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts, financial statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage yearly audit and tax responsibilities.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and financial institutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties.
• Manage company cash flow and fund adequacy.
• Prepare and budget tax assumptions for the assessment.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for the full spectrum of accounting functions including handling the full set of accounts, financial statements, cash flow statements and bank reconciliation.

Responsible for managing the yearly audit and tax.

Ensure every accounting transaction follows the applicable accounting standards.

Responsible to liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, etc.

Coordinate with internal departments and external parties.

Responsible for managing company cash flow and ensuring sufficient funds for operation.

Responsible for handling SST schedules and submission.

Responsible for preparing and budgeting tax assumptions for the year assessment.

Perform other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by top management.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance or any related field.
• At least 3 years of working experience in developer and construction industry.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as SQL, Million, etc.
• Required skill(s): Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
• Required language(s): Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
