Job summary

A leading property development company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting operations. This role involves maintaining full sets of accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in finance or accounting, knowledge of accounting software, and strong Excel skills. This is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team within a growing firm.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of working experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Experience in the property development is an added advantage.
  • Responsible, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.

Job description

Handle day-to-day accounting operations including data entry, invoice processing, payments, and receipts.

Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation).

Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliation statements.

Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records for audit and reference.

Assist in monitoring cash flow, project‑related payments, and budget tracking.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other external parties as required.

Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of management reports and financial analysis.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant statutory requirements.

To undertake any ad hoc schedule required when required by the management.

Requirement

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum two (2) years of working experience in an accounting or finance role.

Experience in the property development an added advantage.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., MHW accounting system) is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and journal entries.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsible, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines and attention to details.
