Job summary

An accounting firm is seeking an experienced individual in Kuala Lumpur to manage a full set of accounts. Responsibilities include handling journal entries, preparing monthly management accounts, and managing Accounts Receivable and Payable. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, at least 3 years of relevant experience in the forwarding/logistics industry, and familiarity with SST submissions and AutoCount accounting system. Strong detail orientation and time management skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience handling a full set of accounts independently.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCount accounting system.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts, including journal entries and bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Payable processes.
  • Prepare and submit SST returns in compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain proper cash book records.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agents as required.

Job description

Handle full set of accounts, including journal entries, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and schedules

Manage Accounts Receivable, including billing, e-Invoicing, collection follow-up, and customer account reconciliation

Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and supplier reconciliation

Prepare and submit SST returns in accordance with regulatory requirements

Maintain accurate accounting records using AutoCount accounting system

Monitor cash flow and maintain proper cash book records

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external parties when required

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies

Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and reference purposes

Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the forwarding / logistics industry
  • Experience handling full set of accounts independently
  • Hands‑on experience with AutoCount accounting system
  • Familiar with SST submission and e‑Invoicing requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Detail‑oriented, responsible, and able to work independently
  • Good time management skills and able to meet reporting deadlines
