Overview

We are looking for a detail oriented Accounts Executive to handle daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, reconciliations, reporting and compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments and smooth month-end closings while supporting audits and liaising with banks, suppliers and auditors.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Process supplier invoices with proper verification, coding and approvals.
  • Prepare supplier payments (cheques, online transfers, etc.) in line with payment terms.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate monthly payments for local suppliers.
  • Prepare overseas supplier payments and liaise with dealers to negotiate favorable exchange rates.
  • Maintain accurate AP records and filing systems.
  • General Ledger (GL) & Month End Closing
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
  • Assist in month end and year end closing activities.
  • Perform reconciliation for debtors, creditors and other GL accounts.
  • Ensure accurate transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system.
  • Reporting & Compliance
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Support preparation of management reports, budgets, financial analysis and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documents for tax filings.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and government agencies during audits and compliance matters.
  • Documentation & Coordination
  • Maintain records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting materials.
  • Support audit requirements by ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
  • Liaise with banks, financial institutions and other professional authorities to resolve financial matters promptly.
  • Perform other ad hoc accounting duties and assignments as required.
  • Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
