Job description

We are seeking an experienced Account Assistant to join our team at W. K. CERAMIC DISTRIBUTOR SDN. BHD. in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that will play a vital role in supporting our accounting and finance operations.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
• Preparing financial statements, reports and reconciliations
• Assisting with the month-end and year-end close process
• Processing invoices, payments and receipts
• Providing administrative support to the Finance team as needed
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting/bookkeeping role, preferably within the Accounting or Small Practice Accounting industry
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
• Proficient in using accounting software such as SQL
• Good working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Relevant accounting qualifications or certifications (e.g. LCCI, AAT or equivalent)
