Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Account Assistant to support finance and accounting operations. Responsibilities include daily accounting tasks, preparing invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and supporting audits. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance, possess at least 2 years of related experience, and be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. This role requires strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Account Assistant to support our finance and accounting operations. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, handling daily accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist in daily accounting operations, including data entry and bookkeeping
  • Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and official receipts
  • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper documentation
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing
  • Support audit and tax-related matters
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
