Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a dedicated individual to manage daily operations in the accounts department. The ideal candidate will ensure timely processing of vendor invoices, assist with bank reconciliations, and support year-end audits. A minimum diploma in accounting with 1-2 years of experience and strong communication skills is required. This role offers an opportunity to engage in various accounting functions while working in a positive and team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience is preferred.
  • Able to interact with all levels effectively.
  • Good at maintaining documentation and filing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operational matters of the accounts department.
  • Ensure proper processing of vendor invoices and credit notes.
  • Assist with bank reconciliation on a timely basis.
  • Generate daily and monthly cash reports.
  • Support year-end audit and financial statement preparation.

Education

Minimum Diploma in accounting
Job description

Responsible for day-to-day operational matters of account department.

Ensure invoices and credit notes from vendor are properly taken up in accordance with Company’s procedures and policies as well as in a timely and accurate manner.

Assist with bank reconciliation on a timely basis.

Generate daily and monthly cash, deposit, credit and virtual account report.

Ensure vendors’ invoices and payment are recorded on a timely basis.

Assist the intercompany transaction, reconciliation, monthly accounts closing and related schedules.

Ensure proper maintenance of documentation and filing to support all accounting.

Assist with year-end audit and financial statement preparation.

Assist with income tax schedules preparation.

Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in accounting, preferably with 1-2 years of relevant working experience.

Possess good communication skills and able to interact with all levels.

Able to effectively work under tight deadlines.

Meticulous and good at problem-solving.

Mature, independent and positive work attitude.
