Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to serve as the primary liaison between customers and the factory. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain Customer Account Development Plans, ensure customer satisfaction, and collaborate with various teams. Strong interpersonal skills and a degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years' experience in the electronics sector are required, along with proficiency in English.

  • Strong communication skills across various levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and the factory, ensuring effective communication of customer requirements across departments.
  • Develop and maintain Customer Account Development Plans to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Review and address Customer Satisfaction Survey results.
  • Host customer visits, prepare presentations, and travel as necessary to meet with clients.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, price feedback, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with the materials sourcing team to resolve sourcing issues.Oversee new product introductions (NPIs) and ensure project milestones are met, providing reports to customers and management.
  • Prepare business forecasts.
  • Work with materials sourcing managers to implement effective customer cost reduction programs.
  • Facilitate customer interactions with other departments as needed.
  • Conduct internal customer business reviews effectively.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication at all levels, including senior management, customers, suppliers, and factory personnel.
  • Strong project management, business analysis, and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Preferably possess a Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in contract manufacturing within the electronics and/or plastic injection moulding industry.
