Job summary

A leading manufacturing company based in Johor, Malaysia seeks a skilled sales professional with at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor environments. Job Responsibilities
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of national objectives.
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
  • Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
  • Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Handle and manage designated local and overseas customers with sales and result oriented approach.
  • Respond efficiently to enquiries with appropriate information about company products and services.
  • Contact potential clients to understand and quantify their requirements and budgets.
  • Prepare proposals and quotations for potential and existing clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on all customer interactions.
Job Requirements
  • At least a Diploma, preferably in Mechanical Engineering / Precision Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 years or relevant experience in a semiconductor manufacturing or equivalent environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and sketches.
  • Good program management, leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good proficiency in English.
  • Knowledge of ERP will be an added advantage.
