Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will serve as a member of the Diversion Center Crisis team. This RN will work within a multi-disciplinary team of crisis staff, case management, psychiatrist, and law enforcement to ensure appropriate psychiatric and mental health services are received.

This Nursing position performs responsible professional nursing work or professional administrative nursing work in the assigned location in Williamson County. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of individuals in accordance with accepted professional, legal and ethical nursing standards.

Primary responsibilities include a nursing triage and assessment, medication administration, medication monitoring, ongoing assessments as needed until the individual is sent for hospitalization as ordered by the physician, laboratory collections and interpretation of lab results, individual education regarding medications, health, mental illness, and or substance use.

The Nurse is responsible for adhering to all agency policies and procedures. This Nurse will be under the supervision and leadership of the Director of Nursing and the Program Director. This RN must possess an ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and have excellent communication skills.

Location: Georgetown

Salary

Hourly rate: $59.05 + shift differentials as follows:

  • Evening shift differential of $2.00 per hour from 5 pm-7 pm
  • Night shift differential of $4.00 per hour after 7 pm
  • Weekend overnight differential of $6.00 per hour
  • Shifts available 7 am-7 pm or 7 pm-7 am

Credentials

Minimum Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas with at least 1-year recent nursing experience; ability to work collaboratively and be part of a multidisciplinary professional team; computer literate with working knowledge of Windows/MS office applications; excellent written and oral communication skills; must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications: ANCC Psychiatric/Mental Health Certification or CARN certification; experience working with children in psychiatric settings, with individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders and or primary care needs; Bilingual in Spanish.
