Job Description Summary : The Documentation translator, in addition to translating all documentation related to the product and quality system, also knows the format and contents of all documents.

Proposes improvement in documents, wording, and translation.

Has the ability to convert documents from other companies to the company format.

Assists in JDE / ERP activities related to the PDM, controls signature records, stamp s, waivers, and validations.

The translator is also responsible for the tools provided to succeed in the performance of his / her work, and professional development.

• Assists in creating the MS PowerPoint presentation when required.
• Participates as collaborator in the Electronic Documentation System as required.
• Translates all documentation from English to Spanish and vice versa as required, using the proper computer software.
• Participates in projects review or change requests (CR), as well as to determine missing information in them.
• Assists in converting documents to the internal / corporate format.
• Participates in projects or engineering change requests when required.
• Maintains control and recordkeeping validation.
• Participates in redlining and / or document corrections.
• Requests documentation and information to various divisions as required.
• Generates reports as necessary.
• Follows the established customer service metric to process CR's.
• Participates in Lean Thinking projects and adheres to the standard '5' S's.
• Assists introducing newly hired translators to the Electronic Documentation System topics as required.
• Participates in Lean manufacturing activities / Lean Thinking.
• Participates in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing Tools / Lean Thinking.
• Participates developing Value Stream Maps (VSM) and proposes improvements.
• Maintains (physically) files and identification in good condition.
• Helps translating documents from other Bard departments or facilities as required.
• Reviews the Electronic Documentation System to process the required CR's.
• Prepares certificates to move material to different destinations of U.S.
• Helps exchanging documents with Division when required.
• Helps in the distribution of necessary copies of documents to the different satellite files.

• Controls inspector's stamps.
• Distributes waivers to the concerned areas.
• Controls signature records lists.
• Controls all waivers generated in the plant (electronic and hardcopy / paper).
• Makes the required corrections in the translations.
• Assists in generation and maintenance of waivers.
• Assists in maintenance of PDM (Product Data Management) in JD Edwards, including Item Master, Item Branch, Bill of Materials, and routings records, List of Suppliers and restrictions.
• Works directly with engineers of the different areas coordinating changes at Electronic Documentation System and PDM JDE / ERP maintenance when required.

• High School or equivalent preferably.
• Document Translation Experience preferably.
• English-Spanish Spanish-English test must be approved.

• Management of computer software MS Office (word, excel, access, power point).
• Provides ideas on translations and redactions improvement.
• Open to priority changes.
• Learns different types of records and ways to file them.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbal and in writing.
• Domain Document Control Practices.
• Controls JDE / ERP maintenance files.
• Abilities according to Translator's matrix.
• Provides ideas to facilitate work.
• Team-Oriented.
• Understanding in Lean Manufacturing / Lean Thinking Tools.
• Mathematical skills proper of High School.
• Management of Percentages.
• Knowledge in several units of mathematical measures to avoid confusing in translation.
• Advanced English level required.
