Job summary
A leading tech firm in Jakarta Selatan is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in virtualization technologies and network management. The role includes architecting technology solutions, documentation creation, and daily project duties. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving skills and good communication abilities in English.
Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and workshops to understand requirements.
- Architect and develop infrastructure technology solutions.
- Align solutions with company offerings.

- Involved in infrastructure testing and reporting.
Skills
Work experience in Network Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering
Virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.)
Experience with servers and storage hardware
Backup and recovery solutions knowledge
Major firewall platforms experience
Networking knowledge (classic and cloud)
Encryption and tunneling protocols
Application protocols related to OSI layers
Good communication skills (English)
Creating design documents and presentations
Analytical problem-solving mindset
Job description
Qualifications
- Must have work experience for 4-6 years as Network Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer
- Have deep understanding and working experience in implementing virtualization technologies (VMWare/ESXi/ Vsphere, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, Citrix, Microsoft)
- Have working experience in handling hardwares like servers and storage (sizing, OS installation, setup/configuration, and troubleshooting).
- Have a good understanding of backup and recovery solutions (Veeam, Veritas, Informix), a working knowledge would be an advantages.
- Have experience working with major firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, etc). A certificate for any of the platforms is a plus.
- Have a good knowledge of networking either classic (switching, dynamic routing protocols, static and rule-based routing, etc.) or cloud (VPC, peering, gateways, SD-WAN secure fabric). A certificate in any networking area is a plus.
- Have a good knowledge of encryption and tunneling protocols (PKI, IPSec, SSL VPN, TLS, IKE, IKEv2, etc.)
- Understand application protocols in the context of OSI network layers and content inspection (Load-balancing, WAF, IPS, IDS, etc.)
- Have good verbal and written communication skills (English) in both technical and non-technical communications.
- Have good experience creating design documents (HLD, LLD), diagrams, and presentations (PPT)
- Have a good analytical mindset for problem-solving under stress and time pressure.
Responsibilities
- Attending meetings and workshop with the client and/or principal to understand requirements, challenges and risks
- Architecting & developing infrastructure technology solutions in cooperation with various teams using existing industry standard and best practices
- Aligning all those solutions to suit in company line of products and/ or services offered
- Creating design and support documentation for the delivered services with adherence to the clients processes and procedures
- Perform daily duties as per the clients project requirements such as infrastructure deployment, configuration, and support.
- Involved throughout infrastructure testing, creating testing documentation and completion reports.
