Actively support the build, implementation, and maintenance of practical, analytical assets that effectively solve business problems using statistical methodologies

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering or analytical field (Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, including at least 3 years leading a Data Science team.

Proven ability to manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists.

Strong expertise in:

Time-Series Analysis, NLP, Anomaly Detection, Survival Analysis.

R and/or Python for data analysis and modeling.

SQL/Hive environments and big data platforms.

Hands-on experience with cloud-based machine learning tools (preferably Azure).

A strategic thinker who can turn data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Proficient in English (verbal and written)

You are a quantitative enthusiast who can build complex predictive models and unlock their value through Python, R, SQL and/or other rigorous analytical environments.

You are a tested researcher with a background in breaking down problem statements into their root causes and tailoring solutions based off of your findings.

You have a proven track record of collaborating with business partners to translate operational problems and needs into data-based analytical solutions.

Strong oral and written communication skills in English language.

Travel required up to 50%; most of the travel goes to mining site.

Position is in a busy, non-smoking office located in Jakarta.

Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting.

Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
