Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers that generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architecture, documents, testing analyses, test plans and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture that aligns with company’s long-term strategy.
• Lead teams that analyze, design, troubleshoot and implement network architecture in order to best meet company requirements.
• Mentor engineers to develop and build a top-notch engineering team.
• Evaluate cost analyses and vendor comparisons for large‑scale projects to ensure cost‑effective and efficient operations, and measures feasibility of various approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 5 years’ experience in network architecture.
• Routing (OSPF, IS‑IS, BGP) and switching expertise. Extensive network engineering and architecture experience – excellent understanding of Internet and datacenter topologies.
• Experience evaluating, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of network equipment.
• Thorough understanding of various L2/L3 protocols and technologies: TCP/IP (v4 & v6) and related protocols.
• Understanding Layer 4‑7 switching/load balancing and application integration. Solid understanding of network‑based security protocols and methods (eg IPSec, SSL, TLS, ACLs).
• It has an ability to investigate new technologies, develop scalable network solutions, and put together well‑thought‑out documents to propose new configurations, architectures, services, and policies.
• Analytical approach to problem solving and usage of methodical & documented processes to propose network enhancements.
• Scripting skills for network automation are a plus.
• Experience in a 24/7 Internet Facing Production environment.
