Job description
Purpose of the Job
- To supervise and support the delivery of building services maintenance across a commercial office portfolio
- To manage a small team of engineers while remaining hands‑on with maintenance activities
- To act as the day-to-day point of contact for the client across the City & West End portfolio
- To ensure all services are delivered in line with SLAs and contractual requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a small team of engineers across multiple commercial sites
- Carry out hands‑on maintenance duties (approximately 50%)
- Ensure planned and reactive works are completed to a high standard
- Act as the primary client contact on a day‑to‑day basis
- Monitor performance, standards, and compliance across the portfolio
- Assist with scheduling, workload management, and engineer support
- Ensure Health & Safety and statutory compliance at all times
- Complete reports, documentation, and handovers as required
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
- Proven experience within Building Services / Facilities Management
- Previous supervisory or lead engineer experience preferred
- Strong technical background (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Ability to manage engineers while remaining hands‑on
- Organised, professional, and proactive approach
Role Details & Benefits
- Salary: Up to £53,000 (flexible for exceptional candidates)
- Travel: Zones 1-6 Travelcard provided
- Hours: Monday - Friday
- Portfolio: Commercial offices - City & West End
- Work Split: 50% hands‑on / 50% supervisory
Accountabilities
