• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults on PLC-controlled and automated machinery.
• Leading and delegating a team of electrical and multi-skilled engineers.
• Managing daily workloads, job allocation, and maintenance priorities.
• Supporting planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and continuous improvement activity.
• Acting as a technical escalation point during breakdowns.

Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Castleford Area

Salary: Circa £48,000

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Days) - Including 1 in 4 weeks on call

The Role:

We are currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join a leading FMCG Manufacturing company following significant recent investment into site, equipment, and production capability. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor who enjoys being hands‑on while also leading and developing a high‑performing engineering team.

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor role is a true 60/40 split approximately 60% hands‑on electrical maintenance and fault‑finding, with 40% focused on delegation, planning, and day‑to‑day team management. You will play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing hands‑on electrical maintenance support across production and packaging lines
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults on PLC‑controlled and automated machinery
• Leading, delegating, and supporting a team of electrical and multi‑skilled engineers
• Managing daily workloads, job allocation, and maintenance priorities
• Supporting planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and continuous improvement activity
• Acting as a technical escalation point during breakdowns
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, electrical standards, and site procedures
• Working closely with engineering management to support ongoing investment and improvement projects

About You:

To be successful in this Electrical Maintenance Supervisor position, you will ideally have:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Electrical Engineer in FMCG or manufacturing
• Strong electrical fault‑finding skills within a fast‑paced production environment
• Experience supervising or mentoring engineers on shift or day‑based teams
• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• A proactive, hands‑on leadership style with excellent communication skills
