Job description
Purpose of the Job
  • To supervise and support the delivery of building services maintenance across a commercial office portfolio
  • To manage a small team of engineers while remaining hands‑on with maintenance activities
  • To act as the day-to-day point of contact for the client across the City & West End portfolio
  • To ensure all services are delivered in line with SLAs and contractual requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a small team of engineers across multiple commercial sites
  • Carry out hands‑on maintenance duties (approximately 50%)
  • Ensure planned and reactive works are completed to a high standard
  • Act as the primary client contact on a day‑to‑day basis
  • Monitor performance, standards, and compliance across the portfolio
  • Assist with scheduling, workload management, and engineer support
  • Ensure Health & Safety and statutory compliance at all times
  • Complete reports, documentation, and handovers as required
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
  • Proven experience within Building Services / Facilities Management
  • Previous supervisory or lead engineer experience preferred
  • Strong technical background (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage engineers while remaining hands‑on
  • Organised, professional, and proactive approach
