Job description
Overview
  • Location: Cirencester
  • Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12‑hour shifts (06:00‑18:00 & 18:00‑06:00)
  • Rotational shifts
  • Free onsite parking

  • Full‑time, permanent role for the right candidate
Responsibilities
  • Set and maintain high standards for Health & Safety, Quality, housekeeping and output to plan
  • Ensure work activities consistently meet quality, safety, cost and delivery specification
  • Provide feedback to team members during the shift on maintaining and improving performance; promptly identify poor performance or unacceptable behaviour and address it following policy/procedure
  • Encourage team members to freely report actual and potential variations in quality
  • Undertake performance reviews of team members and identify training needs and solutions
  • Make recommendations for improvements involving people and processes
  • Keep the immediate Manager informed about activities, results and achievements
  • Ensure information about problems and opportunities is clear, accurate and provided with appropriate urgency
  • Report potential or actual conflicts between people to the Plant/Production Manager
  • Lead team meetings
  • Organise and coordinate cover (breaks, absence, holiday) within the shift (or area of plant) to ensure efficient, smooth and continuous running to meet production plan priorities
Qualifications
  • Previous shift management exposure is essential
  • Understanding of production line operation and ability to identify key issues and causes
  • Good understanding of the product range and its nuances
  • Good knowledge of Production KPIs
  • Highly effective people manager and role model for Health & Safety standards
  • Previous experience working shift patterns is essential
  • Quality control experience is essential
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Good attentiveness and a keen eye for detail
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Physically able to lift up to 20 kg regularly
