Senior Transport Planner

Birmingham

Due to growth, my client is looking for a Senior/Principal Transport Planner to join their thriving team in the Birmingham office.

The team has developed and grown to manage a wide range of projects and clients across the UK, including Residential, Retail, and Education schemes. This role will support the workload from both the Bristol and Birmingham offices.

The role:

You will be:

• Managing and working on complex Transport Planning Projects
• Leading the development and delivery of these projects
• Promoting development sites from site identification and acquisition through planning applications, submission, and discharge of planning conditions

You will collaborate with the Transport team to deliver high-quality consultancy advice, understand client requirements, and manage resources effectively.

You will also support and mentor junior staff and continue developing your project management and commercial skills.

Ideally, you should have a solid understanding of Transport Planning Policy and project delivery.

Experience required includes:

• Transport Statements, Assessments, and Travel Plans
• Parking Strategies, Sustainable Transport, Section 278 and 106 agreements, and guidance such as NPPF
• Use of the TRICS database
• Experience with PICADY, ARCADY, and understanding of LINSIG
• Transport Modelling and its applications
• Junction design (Roundabouts, Signals)
