Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a portfolio of projects to the required quality, time and budget, showing self‑checking, with minimum input by others.
  • Have a positive attitude towards checking and quality.
  • Plan and prioritise tasks effectively for yourself with minimal input by others, reporting back on progress and delivering on commitments you have made.
  • Understand the relationship between hours worked and project cost, budgets and commercial pressures.
  • Monitor your project's CAD progress against costs and programme.
  • Provide guidance to more junior members of the CAD/BIM team.
Qualifications
  • A high level of ability in the Bentley suite of products and able to provide guidance to others.
  • A high level of ability in applying procedures and standards that apply to CAD/Modelling and provide guidance to others.
  • Experience of electrical and/or mechanical engineering design principles and standards.
  • Experience of working with contractors in a design and build environment.
  • Experience within the rail sector covering a broad range of design challenges at different stages of design development.
  • Experience of using data management systems.
  • Experience of safety standards and CDM regulations and a track record of applying them, showing an ability to identify and mitigate hazards in designs.
  • Experience of construction principles and standards.
  • Knowledge of the transportation sector.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
Desirable
  • Experience of using other CAD/BIM modelling products such as AutoDesk.
  • Experience of Projectwise.
  • Ability to travel to other offices when required.

We currently have an opportunity for a Modeller to join our Engineering team. This position within our M&E engineering team will suit a committed and ambitious modeller who can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team, a high level of ability in the Bentley suite of products and able to provide guidance to others.
