Overview

As a Nursery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of freshly prepared meals from our central kitchen to multiple nursery locations. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth delivery of nutritious food to support the children's daily care.

Responsibilities
  • Collecting and delivering prepared meals to various nursery locations on a set schedule.
  • Ensuring food is transported safely in accordance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of food containers.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the delivery vehicle.
  • Following all road safety laws and driving regulations while on duty.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service; if you don't yet have one, you will need to cover the cost.
  • Be eligible to work in regulated roles – not on the Children's Barred List.
  • Successfully complete background and reference checks.
  • A full, clean UK driving license.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver (experience in food transport is a plus).
  • A good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and excellent time‑management skills.
  • A friendly, professional attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle light lifting and loading of food containers.
