The project scope includes planning, design, integration and delivery of major airfield infrastructure, buildings, systems and associated periphery infrastructure.

Job Summary

In this role, you will manage the organization and direction of project construction activities and oversee total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, and finance and accounting. Your leadership will ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and clients are satisfied.

“This position is designated as part‑time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in‑person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.”

Major Responsibilities

Titles / Roles : Area Manager / Deputy Site Manager / Market Managers / Tier 1 Site Manager / Construction Manager

SM Tier I - most applicable to Deputy Site Managers, Area Managers, Market Managers Construction Managers and SMs on projects.

  • Manages the organization and direction of construction and related activities of a single construction project, including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
  • Acts as primary client contact for all project field activities.
  • Oversees total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and craft resource personnel as applicable.
  • Maintains client relationship and is the primary contact for client’s communication with the field activities and effective relation with other functional departments.
  • Coordinates all project contractual activities and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations.
Planning
  • Oversees jobsite expenditures for labor equipment, material and services and ensures field operations are within the budget.
  • Establishes project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.
  • Develops, implements, and administers a jobsite security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department.
Safety & Quality
  • Ensures development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non‑manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job‑site work rules.
  • Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13‑15 years of relevant experience or 17‑19 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • Prior experience on UK airport or transport infrastructure projects, particularly in surface access or ground transport environments.
  • Familiarity with Airport operations and local authority engagement processes.
