Job Title: Cover Supervisor

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work for our partner Secondary Schools that are seeking new staff for the next academic year.

The Cover Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the absence of teachers by supervising students and ensuring that their learning continues in a positive and constructive manner.

Responsibilities:

·Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in learning activities.

·Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.

·Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and instructions left by the absent teacher.

·Provide support and assistance to students as needed, answering questions, and offering guidance with classwork.

·Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during the class.

·Liaise with teaching staff and school administrators to ensure smooth transitions and effective communication regarding any issues or concerns that arise.

Requirements:

·Bachelor's degree, or relevant field preferred.

·Previous experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting is desirable.

·Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.

·Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.

·Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas and with students of varying ages and abilities.

·A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
