Service Manager – Special Educational Needs (SEN)
West Berkshire Council | Hybrid Working
£650 per day

Pertemps are seeking an experienced and strategic Service Manager of SEN to join West Berkshire Council on a hybrid working basis.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and implementing strategies and initiatives that promote inclusive education and ensure the provision of high-quality support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing strong leadership to the SEN service, driving continuous improvement and positive outcomes.
  • Overseeing the delivery of statutory responsibilities in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Developing and implementing effective policies, systems, and processes.
  • Building strong partnerships with schools, families, and stakeholders to promote inclusion and achievement.
  • Leading and managing a team, ensuring professional development and accountability.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record in a senior leadership role within SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, statutory duties, and best practice.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
