As a Software Developer, you will work within the Chief Engineering and Platform Office Platform Application Team, building high-quality, reliable, and maintainable digital services. You will contribute to the software developer community by following standard processes and sharing knowledge through community events and academy sessions. You will work as part of a DevOps team using Agile methodologies, collaborate with other developers to produce test-driven code, and advise on software engineering standards.
You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure the applications delivered help stakeholders achieve their aims, meet HMRC standards, and support the organisation’s strategic objectives while also meeting accessibility standards.
The role requires experience in the following essential criteria and related capabilities:
Salary and benefits: alongside salary of £37,682, HMRC contributes £10,916 towards a Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Flexible and Hybrid Working policies are available; we welcome flexible working arrangements where possible.
