Web Developer (PHP / Laravel) – Northampton (Hybrid - 3 days office based, 2 days from home) £26,000 - £34,000 + Benefits

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising web applications using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL. You'll collaborate with colleagues and clients to scope, design, and deliver new features, while also ensuring existing systems remain performant, secure, and scalable. The role follows a hybrid working pattern, with Mondays and Fridays from home, and Tuesday to Thursday office-based.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in PHP and Laravel, a solid grounding in MySQL database design and optimisation, and a good understanding of modern web development practices. Experience with cloud technologies, containerisation, or JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React would be highly advantageous.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL

• 3+ years' experience as a Web Developer or Software Engineer
• Proficient in PHP (7/8) with strong Laravel framework experience
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, database design, and optimisation
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive front-end development
• Experience with Git version control and API integration
• Able to pass a DBS check during probation due to client base working with
