Account Manager position in a forward-thinking and highly experienced accountancy practice. The firm dates back to 1887 and has grown into a 6-partner firm based in Lewes.

They are seeking an ambitious individual from a general practice background, who is highly experienced and qualified. You may have management experience already or be ready to take the next step in your career.

A passion for accounting, excellence in client service, and a genuine interest in business are key attributes they look for.

1. Preparation of Financial Statements: Oversee the preparation of year-end statutory accounts for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations. Review and finalize financial statements.
2. Management Accounting: Prepare management accounts, analyze financial data, and identify trends and areas for improvement.
3. Tax Compliance: Manage VAT returns, assist with Corporation and Personal Tax, ensuring compliance and deadlines.
4. Bookkeeping: Oversee bookkeeping activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure efficiency and compliance.
5. Client Management: Serve as the main contact for clients, understanding their needs and providing strategic advice.
6. Portfolio Oversight: Manage client portfolios, ensure timely service delivery, and identify opportunities for growth.
7. Financial Advisory: Provide budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management services, analyzing data for trends and risks.

• ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE
• Minimum of 5 years practice experience
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, VAT, bookkeeping, and client management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• UK citizen, no sponsorship needed

• £40-45k salary, depending on experience and qualifications
