What will you be doing?
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Procurement team as Group Procurement Manager in London on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role necessitates collaborative working across S&W to ensure all third-party engagements enhance commercial and operational value to the business and it's clients. The role is responsible for negotiating commercial deals with suppliers with the aim to reduce cost and improve service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a fast-paced, dynamic procurement team and with a can-do attitude to see things through to completion. Actively manage supplier risk and performance to ensure continuity. The candidate will also be responsible for developing supplier relationships to ensure S&W is at the forefront of innovation.
AsGroup Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include among others
- Acting as the first point of contact for procurement queries and providing procurement advice
- Work as a Business Partner with key stakeholders across the Group
- Ensuring companywide procurement requirements and contract management solutions for allocated categories are managed effectively.
- Lead in high-value and complex projects.
- Deputise for the Head of Procurement and Senior Group Procurement Managers, as necessary, in relevant meetings and working groups.
- Manage the Procurement Pipeline and Tracker to see projects through to completion.
- Manage contract repository.
- Conduct commercial and contract negotiations and implement appropriate tactics to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Owning the cradle-to-grave procurement process including ITT/RFPs, RFIs, RFQs
- Develop relationships with existing suppliers to reduce costs or provide an enhanced service whilst delivering innovation, sustainability, and benefit to the business.
- Ensuring all procurement activities undertaken are aligned with internal Procurement Policy & Procedures
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with other teams such as Legal, Data Protection and Information Security to address and mitigate third-party risks.
- Ensure all contracts meet Group policy, regulatory and industry standards
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should
- Experience in end-to-end strategic procurement, across various indirect procurement categories
- Merger & Acquisition experience desirable
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, ideally having come from a Financial Services background, however other background will also be considered
- The ability to influence and win over stakeholders
- Experience in environment related improvements in relation to ESG is desirable
- Experience in drafting and interpreting of contracts and clauses is essential
- Strong Commercial Negotiation skills
- Strong Supplier Relationship Management experience
- Sound understanding of Procurement category management
- Creating and managing complex tender and benchmarking exercises
- Leveraging eSourcing platform to run, manage and report on tendering exercises
- Able to create appropriate commercial models to suit requirements in the category
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft MS Excel and other MS Office applications
- Commercial awareness and acute business acumen are essential
- Ability to analyse data to inform effective decision making
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with high energy to drive for results and meet deadlines
- Have a dynamic approach to your work, being flexible, professional, and diligent under pressure
Professional Qualifications and Education
- Educated to degree level is desirable
- MCIPS Qualified or working towards the qualification, but not essential
