Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is currently recruiting for a Planning Team Leader for our client in the Bridgwater area. This is a vital role within the business as you are responsible for sales orders, production schedules and outbound products.
This is a commercial position, you will be the first point of contact for the company for customers, suppliers, and internal teams. You will lead a team of planners processing orders through the business, assessing capacity for incoming demand, and ensuring enquiries and orders are processed.
- Manage the team handling sales orders, manufacturing orders, and expedited production orders in the ERP system.
- Track order statuses, resolve documentation issues, and respond to admin emails.
- Identify supply and purchasing issues that may impact production, communicating delays as needed.
- Support data entry, reporting, and monthly KPI tracking.
- Build strong communication and service relationships with Marketing and other departments.
- Participate in Sales and Operations calls with Global Supply Chain.
- Continuously seek efficiency improvements within the team.
- Monitor on‑time delivery and production lead times.
- Perform 1 to 1s with team members.
- Assess and instigate training requirements for the team.
- Ability to effectively lead a team and be a team player.
- Knowledge of production processes including dispatch and product lines.
- Holistic business understanding.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to detail.
- IT literate.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
